Strange Horizons

I am Casey with the Diffractions Collective in cooperation with tranzit in Czech Republic. We are a Prague-based group of artists, writers, coders and thinkers who arrange discussion/workshops on topics of accelerationist philosophy, hyperstition, semiotics, and geopolitics. We would like to open dialogue with you regarding a possible guest lecture on sci-fi writing in Prague this summer.
I read Burning Country while doing thesis work on Belgian travellers in Syria, titled Accelerationist’s Jihad (part of which is featured in our blog “Futurist’s jihad” tying in more Herbert/Zelazny sci-fi elements). I also recently read this discussion in Strange Horizons on Iraq+100 and “Swarm” in Beta-life, reminiscent of Ernst Junger’s Glass Bees, though enhanced with the anise-embued shot of araq! We are very interested in sci-fi theory, especially regarding speculative fiction and hyperstition, and I hope Diffractions can extend collaboration starting with an invitation.
